MAXSEA / AIS : THE SAFETY DUO

An Automatic Identification System (AIS) is a safety system which obliges all merchant vessels to transmit information about the ship’s position, navigation and other information.

With an affordable AIS receiver, you can receive this information which, as a minimum, contains the name of the ship, its position, its destination, its load, and the number of crew members.
All this information is emitted using VHF frequencies.

With MaxSea you can display this information both graphically and automatically on the chart. You can immediately identify ships that are too close, identify potential dangerous crossings, or simulate conditions for a possible collision.

A low-cost receiver and the MaxSea AIS pleasure boating module provide seafarers with a powerful tool to anticipate and avoid dangerous situations with commercial ships using a graphical symbol of the AIS targets on the charts.
In fog it is a tool that you cannot do without.
